 He is a Psychologist and member of the American Psychological Association, with a specialty in music therapy and meditation.

He started music with piano by Mr.Vazik Vartanian, Santoor with Mr.Ali Sanat Talab, Divan with Mr. Arsalan Kaveh and Daf studied under Mr.Masoud Habibi.During the years 1991 to 1993, he studied music theory and composition under Mr. Dehlavi and F.Fakhredini. 1995 he founded The Hadis Ensemble as a composer, and director.

He has traveled as manager and player of Dalahoo orchestra of more than 60 Daf players to perform at Sufi festivals such as the Konya Rumi International Sufi concert in Turkey, Europe 2001-2003 and the Jahan-e-Khosro Sufi Festival (2001-2005,2011) in India. He has performed with some of the most famous and Dalahoo for various venues including the opening ceremony for the National Olympic Canoe Committee. His recent performances in the District of Columbia include Georgetown University, The Washington DC Dance Festival, The Kennedy Center(2005,6,7,8,9 and 2010 ), Library of Congress Concerts and the Smithsonian Festival. In 2006 the Maryland State Arts Council recognized his outstanding contributions a Maryland Traditions grant. In 2007,2008 the United Nations honored Naser Khorasani to perform for the assembly in commemoration of the Persian-language poet and philosopher Rumi Balkhi.

Since 2000 as manager and member of The Dalahoo Sufi Ensemble Khorasani began a global tour. To date the ensemble has performed in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver (Canada), Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York ,San Francisco (United States),Europe Festival in France, Doha, Dubai, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, (Asia). There more than 174 audio pieces in which he has played in either as a soloist or ensemble.
